motel aurora is an imaginary place filled with noise, and northern lights, and things we do not speak of. it sounds like post-folk; it started out as an alter ego for laura schuster, the music is now performed by her and gijs van wiechen and jasper van der wolde and rei satoshi depending on context. people comment that the singing reminds them of cat power but the rest doesn’t.
