motel aurora serves kimono rock with a gloomy aftertaste, high on melody but torn at the edges. it houses Laura Schuster (guitar, vocals), Randy Derkhof (guitar, vocals), Maarten Bijnen (bass guitar) and Sybren Woudstra (drums). they like their rhythms fancy and their chords simple. the songs bear fickle traces of indie rock, stoner country and 1960s pop.
